This week we have challenged fulltime student and parttime baddie Faith Amin to choose 11 items that represents her and her life in the past, present and future!

One item that represents your childhood: A cup of milk tea
"When I was a kid I always remember my mom making me and my siblings milk tea along with some bread or cookies to dip into our tea. It was truly a staple piece in my house for breakfast. We all sat at the table and just laughed and blew our tea and tried not to burn our tongues."
One item that represents your ethnicity: Food!!!
"As a South Sudanese (kakwa) I love the food we eat and cook. Some of my favorites are asida which is just flour and water pounded, I really love Sambusa, and we make tons of different soup that goes well with the asida or you can have it with rice, we call it mula."
One item that represents your biggest passion: Color!
"Color really helps create a different dynamic wherever you go and it can also be used to describe moods too, I always find it important to either make someone happy or make yourself happy. It always adds a bit of color to your day knowing that your mood is uplifted or that you have lifted other peoples moods."
One item that represents your highest ambition in life: My brain
"I would have to say my brain simply cause I don’t know my highest ambition in life all I know is my brain and my knowledge will take me where I want to be in life someday. I’ve always thought about my ambitions but I could never fully come to a conclusion on what it is. Hopefully someday I can give a real answer but for now my knowledge will take me where I need to go."

One item that represents your current mood: Fuzzy socks!!!
"I walk around my whole house with fuzzy socks like everyday. Since quarantine started I seriously don’t think I can live without them! They’re just so relaxing and they always make me feel warm."
One item that represents your favourite person: Bags!
"I love my mom just as much as she loves her bags! My mom has sooo many bags, sometimes she pulls out bags I’ve never seen and it shocks me sometimes haha, overall she really loves them and collects a bunch and every time I need a cute bag for an outfit I know where to go cause she always has the perfect one I need."
One item that represents your style: Jordans!
"I’m a big fan of Nikes but something about Jordans specifically really gets me. I love them I have so many of them and they always look nice with the clothes I wear everyday. Occasionally I will put on some heels but you’ll always catch me in some Jordans definitely!"
One item that represents your greatest fear: Small spaces
"My biggest fear is getting trapped in a small space cause I’m a pretty tall girl and I always need room to move and feel comfortable, so if I’m in a small space where I feel trapped instantly my heart will start to beat super fast."

One item that represents your profession: A blazer
"I want to be a lawyer and potentially work for the UN one day and I don’t really like the whole idea of women have to wear dresses and skirts to look professional, I think if a guy can pull off a suit then hey so can I! Also blazers go with anything from classy to formal and when in doubt wear a matching set it’s easy and cute."
One item that represents the past year: A mask!!!
"I’m an essential worker so throughout the pandemic watching the transition from no mask to actually wearing them was interesting. I always have a mask that matches my outfit or I simply just wear a black one, I always keep extras too just in case."
One item that represents you: My hair
"I love my hair! Honestly it has taken me a long time to finally accept my hair. Growing up I didn’t see other black girls at my school and people always petted my natural hair and I hated it so I would beg my mom to relax my hair so it would be straight like the other girls, literally my worst regret. Growing up and actually restarting my natural hair journey was beautiful and I love my hair all of it and I would never relax it to cater to the beauty standard. It’s my crown!"
